"Little Nica'" is a Nicaraguan street food concept based on co-owner Vanessa Palazio's family heritage. "Little Nica'" served "Quesillo" which is composed of handmade thick corn tortillas, semi-soft cow's milk cheese, pickled red onions and crema. Customers can add fillings like smashed avocado, slow roasted pork & braised lengua (beef tongue). Typical side dishes like "gallo pinto" (rice & beans) and "platanos maduros" (sweet plantains) were also available. The pop-up ran at Little Muenster Tiny Takeout in DUMBO [@ 145 Front St. btwn Pearl St and Jay St] from July 2014-October 2014. It will return in the summer of 2015 so stop in and experience a Latin American food new to NYC!
